[PROBLEMS] To provide an easy-to-open end portion for a hermetically seal ed container in which the opening surface is substantially flat and producti on of breakage chips is not likely. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The end por tion for a hermetically sealed container comprises a tip portion (1), a trun cated conical coupling portion (3) for coupling the tip portion (1) and the body portion (2), and a joint (4), wherein the tip portion (1), the joint (4 ), the coupling portion (3) and the body portion (2) are arranged coaxially to have a central axis (5), and space sections (14, 13, 12) are provided to extend continuously from the body portion (2) to the middle of the joint (4) . When a force is applied to the tip portion (1) from the lateral direction of the central axis (5), the joint (4) is broken, the head portion of the tr uncated conical coupling portion (3) is exposed and the space section (13) o f the coupling portion becomes a free end.
