<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral staircase structure with spaciousness, excellent in ventilation properties and daylighting properties. <P>SOLUTION: This spiral staircase structure comprises a support 2, a balustrade wall 3, and treadboards 4. The support 2, which comprises a plurality of long steel materials 20, is suspended while being fixed to a skeleton 51a of a ceiling 51, in a state in which a gap is made between the adjacent steel materials 20. The balustrade wall 3, which is composed of a plurality of long plate materials 30, is fixed while being erected on a floor 52 in a state in which a gap is made between the adjacent plate materials 30 in such a manner as to correspond to the steel material 20. The treadboards 4 are fixed onto treadboard supporting members 41 which are provided between the steel material 20 and the plate material 30 corresponding to the steel material 20, respectively.
