PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming a high-quality image on transfer material varied in terms of stiffness without causing toner scattering or transfer deviation. SOLUTION: A guiding member having elasticity is provided at the tip of a guiding plate which forms a conveyance path for conveying the transfer material to a transfer position, and the length of the movable part of the elastic guiding member is made variable.
