<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical monitor for wavelength multiplexing compact and easily usable, which is applied to a wavelength multiplex optical communication system. <P>SOLUTION: The optical monitor for wavelength multiplexing comprises optical fiber connectors 101, 102 provided at both the ends of the optical fiber; an optical fiber 103 extending between the optical fiber connectors; and a fiber grating 103a provided in the optical fiber for dispersing a part of the light transmitted in the optical fiber and emitting the dispersed light to the outside; a ferrule 104 covering the fiber in which at least the part facing to the fiber grating is transparent; a photodiode array 105 of a plurality of photodiodes for receiving the dispersed light dispersed by the fiber grating and transmitted through the ferrule for each wavelength; and a light-emitting diode array 107 arrayed with a plurality of light-emitting diodes, emitting corresponding to the received light intensity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
