PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer meter capable of precisely determining a pointer driving angle without depending on any scale, when carrying out a pointer driving process under such the condition that no scale is mounted. SOLUTION: A positioning hole 2b is formed in a case 2, and a through-hole 1b is formed in a dial 1 in order to expose the positioning hole 2b. Therefore, the positioning hole 2b is detected by an optical image reading device instead of the scale, and the driving angle of a pointer 4 can be determined precisely based on detected data.
