The support structure for a motor vehicle has a front structure (1) connected via a cross member and two footwell supports (8) to a floor support structure which has two longitudinal supports (14). The two footwell supports and the two longitudinal supports are interconnected by two profiled supports (15). The cross member is formed by an end wall (5), a pedal housing (6) and front windscreen interconnected on both sides of the vehicle by the two footwell supports.
