SYNCHRONIZING PRICE INFORMATION AMONG VARIOUS SOURCES OF PRICE INFORMATION

A system, method, and computer program product to synchronize price information among various sources of price information in response to the modification of a price of an item by one source. The price modification may occur in response to a request for price information for a particular item and an analysis of the price information to determine price-competitiveness. The modified price maybe provided by the modifying source to other sources of price information for the particular item. Alternatively, the modified price may be provided by the modifying source to a controlling source of price information for the particular item, and then provided by the controlling source to other sources if approved at the controlling source.
