<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gantry robot and an electronic component mounting device which mitigate the load variation resulting from the heat generation in operation. <P>SOLUTION: One end of a beam 15 constituting an X robot 12 which is constructed in a state where it intersects orthogonally a pair of Y robots 11 is connected with one Y robot 11 in a state where the movement in the X direction is restricted, and furthermore the other end of the beam 15 is connected with the other Y robot 11 in a state either where the movement is permitted in the X direction is restricted or where the movement in the X direction. In the state where the movement of the beam 15 is permitted in the X direction, it is made possible to release the internal stress of the beam 15, thus mitigating the load variation caused by the heat generation of the gantry robot 10 in operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
