<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device, electronic equipment and an equipment authentication program, capable easily specifying the factor of authentication failure. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor device determines the validity of electronic equipment with unique ID information assigned thereto by use of authentication information owned by the electronic equipment. The semiconductor device comprises an equipment authentication part for authenticating second electronic equipment using authentication information obtained from the second electronic equipment different from the first electronic equipment having the semiconductor device, a first storage part for storing authentication process information including the authentication result by the equipment authentication part, and an authentication analysis part for analyzing the authentication result by the equipment authentication part.
