PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the accurate sensing of the positions of game balls rolling within the playing area while enabling the elimination of discharge areas. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 32 with a photosensor is provided behind a light transmitting game board and the positions of the game balls rolling within the playing area 15 of the game board 14 are sensed with a photosensor 321 installed on the liquid crystal display device 32 with a photosensor. When the passage of the game balls through a prescribed region within the playing area 15 is sensed with the photosensor 321, a game value is awarded. This enables the sensing of the winning with the game balls without prize winning slots or the like for the entry of the game balls within the playing area 15, thereby requiring no discharge area for guiding the game balls ejected from the playing area 15.
