ENHANCED FUEL PASSAGEWAY AND ADAPTER FOR COMBUSTION TOOL FUEL CELL

A combustion nailer (10,80) is configured for use with a fuel cell (20) h aving an internal metering valve (22) and a reciprocating, biased main stem (24). The nailer includes a tool housing defining a fuel cell (16) chamber c onstructed and arranged for receiving the fuel cell (20), a fuel cell actuat or assembly (38) configured for actuating the fuel cell in the chamber to em it a measured dose of fuel during tool operation, and a fuel delivery- appar atus associated with the actuator assembly for receiving the emitted dose of fuel and providing it to a combustion chamber (14). The fuel delivery appar atus is configured for preventing actuation of the main stem (24) by the act uator assembly (38) upon the fuel cell (20) being adapter-free.
