PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel oligomer-containing epoxy compound excellent in flexibility, impact resistance, and water resistance and a curable epoxy resin composition using the same. SOLUTION: The oligomer-containing epoxy compound (A) is obtained by adding a catalyst to an epoxy resin having, as the main component, a compound represented by formula (1) (wherein n is an integer of 3 to 35 and G1 and G2 are each hydrogen or a glycidyl group, provided that G1 and G2 are simultaneously not hydrogens) obtained by reacting a polyoxytetramethylene glycol with an epihalohydrin to effect self-polymerization.
