PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium carrying device, in which carrying failure will not occur. SOLUTION: The medium carrying device comprises a feed roller 21 pivoted to a drive shaft 20 provided perpendicularly to a carrying direction of a bankbook 2, and pressure rollers 23 and 24 in contact with the feed roller 21 under pressure for holding the bankbook 2. A plurality of the feed rollers 21 are disposed at the single drive shaft 20, and the pressure rollers 23 and 24 are disposed to be deflected from the center of the feed rollers 21 in the bankbook carrying direction at such positions as to get in contact with the feed rollers 21 under pressure.
