PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footwear sole which provides slip resisting performance and makes it harder to slip on a frozen road surface, and increases the durability of nonslip effect, moreover has slip resisting performance to various kinds of road surfaces from a frozen road surface to a snow covered road surface in a cold district. SOLUTION: In a footwear sole, a slip resisting material for a frozen road surface bonds a slip resisting material which mixes one kind or two or more kinds of inorganic materials with a Mohs hardness of 6.0-9.5 and a particle diameter of 1.0 mm to 4.0 mm on a base material with a synthetic resin. Further, the slip resisting material for a frozen road surface is arranged on a desired area of a footwear sole for a snow covering road surface which mixes hollow ceramics and has a concavo-convex groove of desired shape. Moreover, the footwear sole for a snow covering road surface serves as the base material which joins the slip resisting material. The depth of the concavo-convex groove of the footwear sole is nearly equivalent to the particle diameter of the slip resisting material. The slip resisting material for a frozen road surface is disposed at desired parts of a convex part and a concave part as the footwear sole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
