An instrument system for pedicle screws

Instrument system for a pedicle screw (1) comprises at least two holders provided with a tubular part (8) and supported with this tubular part on the head (2) of the pedicle screw. An insertable centering part (12) provided in place of a headless screw is screwed into an internal thread in the head of the pedicle screw and can be gripped when the holder is in place. The centering part has the same external diameter (D) as the headless screw to pull off the same or a different holder and can be repeatedly introduced to form-locking counter surfaces of the pedicle screw. The tubular part has an internal diameter (D2) that is only slightly larger than the diameter of the headless screw to place the headless screw with a screw driver or the centering part through the tubular part onto the head of the pedicle screw so that its thread engages with the internal thread without jamming. An independent claim is also included for an alternative instrument system.
