<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank and tank component fastening structure for securing a fastening axial force while suppressing damage to seat faces of a tank component and a cap, and to provide a fastening method. <P>SOLUTION: In the tank and the tank component fastening structure, the tank component 4 is screwed into the cap 3 of the tank and thereby screw-fastened thereto. An elastic member 80 is provided between the tank component and the cap for generating an axial force during screw fastening. In the process of the screw fastening, the contact of the seat face 61 of the tank component with the seat face 36 of the cap is suppressed by the elastic member.
