<p>A media gateway MG and packet-filtering method thereof are disclosed, which strengthen the adaption of packet-filtering rule in MG for varied traffic. The method includes the following steps: packet-filtering rule of traffic illustration changes dynamically, that is to say, MG analyzes the current transmitted packet by traffic illustration and gets the changed state of the illustration, and changes the packet-filtering rule of the illustration according to changed state of the illustration dynamically. Moreover, the attribute parameter of H.248 or MPCP protocol is extended, and the attribute parameters indicating enable/disable dynamical packet filter and traffic category are added, which makes media gateway controller MGC open or close the packet filter for the designated traffic category illustration according to the parameters advantageously.</p> |
