<p>PURPOSE:To enable a swivel wheel the direction of movement of which can be freely varied to be properly turned even when moved in the direction opposite to that of travel, without swerving in a direction perpendicular to that direction. CONSTITUTION:A first supporting member 31 is supported to a mount 30 in such a manner as to freely rotate about a first axis of rotation, and a wheel 40 is supported to a second supporting member 32 connected to the first supporting member, in such a manner that the wheel freely rotates about a second axis of rotation. As the mount moves, the wheel is rotated about the first axis of rotation and is put in a turning movement about the second axis of rotation. When moved in the direction opposite to that of movement of the mount, the wheel makes rectilinear movement along an axis 32a which orthogonally intersects the first axis of rotation.</p> |
