Method for feeding a device for picking from a stack items sent in the post. A method for feeding flat objects, such as postal items, to a device (6) for picking flat objects from a stack, comprising a feed magazine (3) with first and second pallets (8, 13), in which method a first stack of flat objects (9) is moved in front of the first pallet in the direction of the picking device, comprising the following steps: making a second stack of flat objects (22) on their edges behind the second pallet; advancing the second stack of flat on-edge objects and the second pallet to form a junction between the second pallet and the first pallet; and moving together the first and second pallets behind the second stack of flat objects. This method helps to facilitate the reconstruction of the first stack of flat objects for feeding the picking device.
