PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen, a rear projector, a projection system, and an image display device which achieve high image quality by surely preventing scintillation caused by projection light thereby avoiding irregularities in display and the glare. SOLUTION: The screen is an image-light projection screen and includes: a scatterer 33 constituted by dispersing light scattering materials in a dispersion medium such as gas or liquid;, a scattering plate 30 having a flow path to make the scatterer 33 flow therein; and a flowing means (pump 42) for making the scatterer 33 flow inside the flow path. The scattering plate 30 is formed of a light-transmissive material, and the plate 30 has arrayed tubular bodies (tube 31) where the scatterer 33 can flow. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
