A method for catching a log file in a combo device is provided to reduce manufacturing cost of a debugger board and to stabilize a set by catching a log file and storing the log file in a storage medium and debugging the log file in real time. A method for catching a log file in a combo device comprises the steps of: receiving a selection signal of a log file catch mode from an input unit and setting a debugging memory in a predetermined capacity of a storage medium according to the signal(S201,S203); controlling catching of the log file(S205); catching the log file for proving a cause of a latch up or bug in a set(S207); and MPEG-decoding the log file to store it in the debugging memory(S209).
