PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a filler for optical resolution useful for separating optical isomers by chemically coupling cyclodextrin or modified cyclodextrin in a range of predetermined amount to a carrier. SOLUTION: Silica gel and a synthetic polymer are used as a carrier. In addition, a spherical carrierhich having large specific surface area with extremely little impurities such as metal and extremely few pores is preferable. A coupling agent to couple the carrier to be used and cyclodextrin is not especially restricted. However, a silane coupling agent is preferable when silica gel is used as a carrier, and 3-(trialkoxy silane) propyl isocyanate, for example, 3-(trimethoxy silane) propyl isocyanate, 3-(triethoxy silane) propyl isocyanate is especially preferable for easily chemically coupling cyclodextrin or modified cyclodextrin in a range of 67-152μmol/silica g. |
