A bed mattress having charcoal pillars is provided to extend the life time of a heater by preventing the heater from being directly submerged under water by inserting the heater into a heater pocket. A bed mattress(1) having charcoal pillars(40) is composed of: a loess mat(30) installed in a square frame(10) and comprising a loess support plate(31), a loess layer(34) including a hot water pipe(32), and a cushion pad(37) stacked from the lower side to the upper side in order; a water tank installed in a case at the predetermined spot of the loess mat and provided with a heater installed with facing inward; a control unit installed at the predetermined position of the frame to control the heater and a circulation pump; charcoal pillar passing holes(38) formed in the shape of an elongated hole and disposed at both sides of the loess support plate in a longitudinal direction; a long charcoal case(42) installed at the lower side of the charcoal pillar passing holes of the loess support plate to cover each lower outside of the charcoal pillar passing holes, and provided with plural vent holes(41) formed at both sides and opened upper and lower sides; plural charcoal pillars vertically inserted into the charcoal case; a bottom plate(14) installed at the lower part of the charcoal case to cover the entire lower part of the loess mat; a ventilation window(11) formed at the lateral side of the frame corresponding to the vent hole; and a hot water heater inserted into a lower space(13) formed between the loess support plate and the bottom plate. The lower side of the frame is combined with the upside of the bottom plate and the upper side is kept at the same height of the upside of the loess mat.
