PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an imaging device of a conventional digital still camera has a long start time from when the power source is turned on to when a 1st picture can be taken. SOLUTION: An image shifting device 5 is constituted movably in two dimensions in a plane perpendicular to an imaging optical system 3. The imaging device 35 is provided with a start button 56 enabling a series of operations for turning on the power source, extending a collapsible lens barrel 1, and taking pictures successively at a plurality of field angles by using the image shifting device 5 when operated for the first time. With this start button 56 pressed, the start time of the imaging device 35 is made short to easily take a picture without missing a shutter chance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
