A mobile terminal and a method for canceling noises in the middle of telephone conversation therein are provided to enable a user to execute a call in more clean sound quality by deleting a frame containing a white noise from the voice data received from a calling terminal. A mobile terminal comprises an RF part(110), a sound processing part(120), and a control part(130). The RF part(110) receives voice data as a call is established. The sound processing part(120) decodes and outputs the frame of the received voice data. In case the decoding rate of the received voice data frame is identical to a preset decoding rate, the control part(130) deletes the received frame. In this case, the control part(130) recognizes that the received frame contains a white noise received at a silence period. However, if the decoding rate of the received voice data frame is different from the preset decoding rate, the control part(130) decodes the received frame through the sound processing part(120).
