An interface used for controlling operation of an electrical device is provided to enable a user to point a predetermined position on a screen of the electronic device, such as a computer and a game machine, simply and at a low cost, and implement the interface manipulated spacially. A self-reflector(M) is attached on or around the screen of a display unit(20). A light emitting device is installed to a pointer(30) and irradiates light to the self-reflector. A camera is installed to the pointer and receives the light reflected from the self-reflector. A position calculator calculates a position pointed on the screen by the pointer or a pointer position relative to the screen based on a self-reflector image captured by the camera. The relative position calculated by the position calculator includes at least one of the position moving the pointer in parallel to a planar direction of the screen, the position moving the pointer from/to the screen, and the position rotating the pointer by centering on a normal direction of the screen.
