A pneumatic tire is provided to reduce a weight of the tire and improve a fuel efficiency of a vehicle by modifying a structure of an apex such that a volume of the apex is reduced. A pneumatic tire comprises a tread(11) making contact with a road, a shoulder(12) disposed at a side portion of the tread, a sidewall(13) forming a side surface of the tire, a carcass(14) disposed at a lower portion of the tread, a bead part(15) on which an end of the carcass is wound and an apex(20) for minimizing the distribution of beads of the bead part. The apex has a plate shape and is attached to a side surface of the bead part. The apex is attached to the outer surface of the bead part to reduce an area of the inner side of the bead part.
