A control apparatus for a microwave oven is provided to safely operate a ventilating motor or a lamp, even when a main manipulation unit is defective by using a secondary manipulation unit. A control apparatus for a microwave oven includes a main manipulation unit(200), a secondary manipulation unit(210), an operation detector(220), and a microcomputer(10). The main manipulation unit includes first and second main ventilating switches and first and second main lamp switches. The secondary manipulation unit includes first and second sub ventilating switches and first and second sub lamp switches. The operation detector monitors an operation state of a ventilating motor. The microcomputer receives the operation state of the main manipulation portion and outputs an operation signal for the lamp. The microcomputer receives the operation state of the operation detector, compares the operation states of the main manipulation unit and the operation detector with each other, and outputs the operation signal for the ventilating motor and the lamp through the second manipulation unit. |
