A manhole cover is provided to supply electric power to underground facilities under a manhole separately. A manhole cover for covering up a manhole installed to a road surface includes a frame(10) placed on the upper part of a manhole frame, a solar battery(20) placed in a housing(11) of the frame to receive solar lights and to generate electric power, a cover(30) put on a support(12) of the frame to close up the housing of the frame to protect the solar battery placed in the housing of the frame from external impact or moisture and made of transparent tempered glass or plastics to let solar lights in and to resist external impact, a gasket(40) placed between the support of the frame and the cover to prevent the inflow of outside air or moisture to the housing of the frame through a gap between the support of the frame and the cover to heighten the efficiency of the solar battery, and a charging device(50) installed to a manhole body and connected with an electric outlet(14) formed on the lower side(15) of the frame by an electric wire(60) electrically to store the electric power generated by the solar battery. |
