A washing machine having a fixing unit is provided to maintain sufficient friction between a rubber support and the floor and to separate the washing machine from the floor easily by heating up a thermoplastic pad of the support. A washing machine comprises a vertical column(110), a body(100), a fixing plate(120), a guard(130), and a pad(140). The vertical column supports the body from a lower surface of the washing machine. The fixing plate is connected to a lower end of the vertical column. The guard is coupled to the fixing plate. One part of the pad is attached to the guard and the other part of the pad is attached to the floor, where the pad is made of a thermoplastic material which is transformed when heated up to a predetermined temperature and cured at the normal temperature. |
