An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to reduce an opening area by forming first and second storage capacitors using a first storage pattern, thereby increasing the capacity of the storage capacitors, and accordingly improving reliability and preventing an afterimage by reducing a level shift voltage deteriorating a pixel voltage. An LCD device comprises first and second substrates, plural gate lines(101a,101b), a data line(102), first and second pixel electrodes(103a,103b), a first storage pattern(131), a connection pattern(134), a second storage pattern(121), and a liquid crystal layer. The first and second substrates are opposite to each other. The plural gate lines are formed in a direction on the first substrate and have alternately first and second intervals among adjacent lines. The data line is formed in a direction crossing the plural gate lines and defines first and second pixel areas(P1,P2) in the intersection of each first interval. The first and second pixel electrodes are separately formed in each first and second pixel area of the each intersection. The first storage pattern is formed to be overlapped with part of the second pixel electrode in the boundary of the first and second pixel areas of the each intersection. The connection pattern connects between adjacent first storage patterns passing the data line. The second storage pattern is separately overlapped with parts of the first storage pattern and the first pixel electrode. The liquid crystal layer is filled between the first and second substrates. |
