An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a driving method thereof are provided to minimize the power consumption of a source driver by embodying a dot inversion through a column inversion driving. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a liquid crystal panel(100), gate and source drivers(110,120), and a timing controller(130). The liquid crystal panel, which includes pixel lines and a pair of gate lines arranged at both sides of the pixel lines. Two pixels share one data line in the liquid crystal panel. The gate and source drivers supply scan signals and data voltages to gate and data lines of the liquid crystal panel. The timing controller controls the driving timing of the gate and source drivers. When an m-th data line disposed between a pair of pixels is connected to one of the pair of pixels, the other of the pair of pixels is connected to an (m-1)-th or an (m+1)-th data line and the direction of the pixel connected to the m-th data line is changed for every pixel.
