A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device having the same are provided to enable a lamp's electrode units grounded to the ground to be directly connected to a bottom cover, thereby reducing production cost, assembly processes, and an assembly time. A backlight assembly comprises a bottom cover(180), a reflection plate(170), plural lamps(160), first and second lamp holders(163,163'), first and second supporter sides(150,150'), optical sheets(140), and a main support(130). The plural lamps are disposed at regular intervals on the reflection plate. First and second electrode units(161,161') are installed in both ends of the lamp. The first electrode unit receives a driving voltage from a lamp driving board(190). The second electrode unit is grounded and is electrically connected to the bottom cover with a metal material. |
