A system and a method for dispensing the sealant of an LCD device are provided to prevent the defect of the attachment of substrates caused by the defect of the dispensed amount of the sealant. A sealant dispensing system comprises a sealant dispenser(401), a seal line detecting unit(420), and a control unit. The sealant dispenser dispenses a sealant on a substrate(400). The seal line detecting unit detects the dispensing amount of the sealant dispensed on the substrate. The control unit compensates the dispensing amount of the sealant based on the dispensing amount of the sealant detected by the seal line detecting unit. |
