A method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel is provided to improve stiffness of the LCD panel by reducing cracks generated in an edge part of the LCD panel. A method for manufacturing an LCD panel comprises the following steps of: providing a mother substrate divided into plural panel regions; performing an array process on a mother substrate(103) for an array substrate, and performing a color filter process on a mother substrate(104) for a color filter substrate; forming an alignment layer on the surface of the mother substrates; performing rubbing on the mother substrates where the alignment layer is formed; depositing the couple of mother substrates where the rubbing work is completed; forming a passivation pattern(160), made from adhesive material, on the front and rear of the deposited mother substrates; forming cut expectation line(114,115) for dividing the panel region in first and second directions along the passivation pattern formed on the mother substrates; and dividing the mother substrates, where the first cut expectation line is formed, into plural unit LCD panels. |
