A shelf to be fitted flat to the wall, the ceiling of a train, or inside the overhead bin of an airplane or ship is provided to hold things safely against shaking/vibration and shocks. A shelf includes a vertical board(10), a horizontal board(20), and an object fixing unit. The object fixing unit comprises a support, which moves in a vertical direction and comprises a fixed board(30) parallel to the horizontal board being inserted into a support groove(34) inside a support groove joint(36). When an object is placed on the horizontal board, the support is pulled down to fix or immobilize the top and bottom portions of the object. In detail, the top portion of the object is fitted into an interior space of a safety bar(31) on the fixed board, and the bottom portion of the object is fitted into an interior space(22) of the horizontal board. A fixed auxiliary portion(37) is further provided to immobilize a particular shape top portion of an object.
