Method for optimizing a multi-zone electrostatic precipitator

The method involves lowering electrical power in zones of an electrostatic filter until a given emission value is reached at an output of an end zone among the zones. The electrical power of each zone is increased and the emission value is retrieved at an output of the filter for each increment. Changes of emission are determined based on changes of the electrical power for each zone. Electrical power transferability of a voltage supply device of the zone is increased, where the changes of the emission are larger in the zone. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for executing a method for optimizing a multi-zone electrostatic filter (2) a computer readable medium, on which a computer program product is stored.
