#CMT# #/CMT# The styling tongs for hair involve ion treatment and have a pair of arms (3,4) with hinges at one outer end and a pair of electrical heating plates (1,2) at the opposite outer end. The plates are coated with a ceramic crystalline material (7) and on one of the arms is a point (14) which coincides with a hole (15) in the other arm. A mechanical switch for an ionizing connection is provided, whereby the outlet opening of the produced negative ions is in an adjacent position in respect of one of the plates. #CMT# : #/CMT# The ionizing connection comprises a current feed composed of a resistance, a light emitting indicator diode (19) and a direct current diode, which are electrically connected with a mechanical switch, which is connected with a resistance, a direct current diode and a light emitting indicator diode connected in parallel, followed by a capacitor in series.
