<p>The device has a guide (10), an eccentric shaft (11) and a drive rod (12) for lowering a pressing bar (9) onto a back (2a) of a book block (2) and for raising the pressing bar for a return stroke into an initial position. A slide (7) accommodates the pressing bar, and a pivoting position of the slide is formed as the eccentric initial position during the lowering of the pressing bar on the back of the book block, where the pivoting position is displaced with respect to a side of the center of the back of the block.</p> |
