A process comprising electro-deposition of a non precious metal (copper) or metallic alloy "shell" (2) on a low melting point core, formation of openings (3) therethrough and melting out the core material then brazing in metallic "plugs" (4) cleaning and electrocoating with a precious metal or metallic alloy film.
