A hands-free device for a vehicle, and a control method thereof are provided to be used by using kept pairing information without performing a new pairing operation by keeping the pairing information and selecting the pairing information by a user in case of a paired cellular phone. A hands-free device for a vehicle comprises a user selection button unit(40), a pairing information keeping unit(45), and a hands-free control unit(31). The user selection button unit is used to select a user who uses a hands-free function. The pairing information keeping unit keeps pairing information between first and second Bluetooth modules(38,39) at a designated area according to a selection of the user selection button unit. The hands-free control unit reads the pairing information of the designated area and performs the hands-free function by connecting the first and second Bluetooth modules mutually, according to the selection of the user selection button unit. A control method thereof includes a step of displaying a no-presence of the pairing information as the pairing information is not read; a step of reading the pairing information from the designated area when changing the selection of the user, and performing a pairing operation as the selection of the user is not changed; a step of keeping the pairing information at the designated area according to the user selection button unit by performing the pairing operation; a step of trying to connect a cellular phone(34) through the pairing information obtained by the pairing operation or the pairing information read from the first step; and a step of performing the hands-free function and displaying a connecting condition of the cellular phone.
