PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having improved braking performance while suppressing the worsening of pumping noises. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 10 comprises a first land train 26 formed by a first peripheral groove 16 and a second peripheral groove 18 provided in a tread part 12 extending to a tire peripheral direction, and a first oblique groove 28 provided therein obliquely extending to the tire peripheral direction with both ends terminated in the first land train 26. The tread surface height of an acute angle portion 32 formed by a sipe 30, which obliquely extends from the end of the first oblique groove 28 on the side of the second peripheral groove 18 to the tire peripheral direction and is communicated with the second peripheral groove 18, and the second peripheral groove 18 is reduced as tending to the front end of the acute angle portion 32. Thus, the sipe 30 in a grounding surface is closed during braking to improve braking performance while maintaining the rigidity of the first land train 26 in the tire peripheral direction, and the first oblique groove 28 is prevented from becoming a closed space in the grounding surface by the acute angle portion 32 to suppress the worsening of pumping noises.
