<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the depletion of carrier particles from a developing station. <P>SOLUTION: The developing station 100 is equipped with: a developer housing for holding developer having semiconductive carrier particles and toner particles; a first magnetic roller having a fixed core equipped with a magnet and a sleeve having a groove in a longitudinal direction rotating around the fixed core in order to give the developer to a photoreceptor; a second magnetic roller having a fixed core equipped with a magnet, and a sleeve having a groove in a longitudinal direction rotating around the fixed core so as to receive the developer from the first magnetic roller and to give the developer to the photoreceptor, and arranged to be deviated in a perpendicular direction from the first magnetic roller so that a gap exists between the first magnetic roller and the second magnetic roller; and the magnetism checking device arranged near the gap and generating magnetic field in the gap so as to prevent the outflow of the carrier particles from the developer moving from the first magnetic roller to the second magnetic roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
