PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material for a brush, which is capable of reducing the falling of bristles, preventing falling-out of the bristles and reducing a manufacture cost as well. SOLUTION: In the bristle material 1 for the brush used for various kinds of brushes such as a car washing brush, a twisted brush, a washing brush, a rotor and a cleaning brush, the bristle material 1 for the brush has a strip-like body 2 in which long-length fiber bundles are bent in a meandering shape and connected in a belt shape by temporary fixing threads 3, and a welding part 4 for fixing the fiber bundles is formed for the strip-like body 2.
