PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which carries out a game effect corresponding to the preference of its user, and is exciting with its well-balanced appearances of various game effects. SOLUTION: This game machine, which has a variation display apparatus executing a variation display game which carries out variation display of two or more pieces of identification information, has a biological information detection means for detecting biological information on a game player, a biological information storage means for storing two or more pieces of biological information obtained in correspondence with the variation display game, a reference value setting means for setting a reference value of biological information on the basis of biological information, a variation value storage means for storing the variation value from the reference value in correspondence with game effect styles, and a game effect style-controlling means for selecting a game effect style from two or more game effect styles on the basis of a distributing ratio. The game effect style-controlling means changes its distributing ratio according to the variation value from the reference value of biological information obtained for each game effect style, and, if a variation value of biological information corresponding to any of game effect styles is not stored in the variation value storage means, selects the game effect style whose variation value is not stored.
