Composition in the form of a tablet, comprising candesartan cilexetil and optionally further active agents and usual adjuncts, wherein the surface of at least the active agent candesartan cilexetil in this composition is prov ided with a coating, made from a compound or a mixture of compounds selected from tri-(C1-C6) alkyl citrate, di-(C1- C6) alkyl phthalate, di-(C1-C6) alk yl sebacate and polydimethysiloxanes and methods for production thereof.
