PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone number sharing system for enabling a plurality of portable terminals to share a telephone number, and to provide a telephone number server and a portable terminal. SOLUTION: The telephone number server 1 is provided with a number managing means 7 for managing the information of the shared telephone number in a telephone number management database 29. When identification information specific to a portable terminal 2 transmitted from the portable terminal 2 coincides with identification information registered in a number acquisition allowed terminal database 30 and there is a free telephone number, the information of the telephone number is transmitted to the portable terminal 2, and the information of the telephone number held by the telephone number management database 29 is updated as being in use.
