PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor that shares an armature shaft both when using a slide bearing and when using a ball bearing 11. SOLUTION: The armature shaft is designed into a dimension that an outer diameter and an axial length of a shaft end part 7b are suitable to the slide bearing so as to be pivotally supported by the ball bearing 11 via a spacer 16 fitted on the outer periphery of the shaft end part 7b. The spacer 16 has an axial-direction adjustment part 16a, which adjusts an axial dimension between a step 7c provided to the armature shaft and the ball bearing 11, and a radial-direction adjustment part 16b that adjusts a radial gap between the outer peripheral face of the shaft end part 7b and the inner peripheral face of the ball bearing 11. The spacer is press-fitted and fixed on the outer periphery of the shaft end part 7b. By the above configuration, it is possible to share the armature shaft both when using the slide bearing and when using the ball bearing 11. Consequently, it is possible to manufacture armatures having different bearing systems with common equipment so as to reduce the manufacturing costs. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
