The machine (1) has a heat pump (11) with an ammonia circulation, which is arranged in an elevated manner. A condenser of the heat pump is air and spray cooled. An evaporator of the heat pump consists of vertically standing evaporator plates, where one side of the heat pump is supported on supports (4) and another side of the pump is supported on an ice container (2). An upper part of the ice container is designed as a supporting formwork (44) in a latticed framework construction.
