<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system for reproducing printing under control information in printing when any failure occurs. <P>SOLUTION: Image data include characters of character types such as alphabets (capital letters and small characters), digits, Chinese characters, cursive forms and square forms of Japanese syllabaries. This image processor replaces image data such as characters or graphics included in print data with image data different from the image data. Concretely, the image processor detects the character types based on character codes, and replaces the character codes with predetermined character codes.
